BIO
Wendy is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and spent 25 years in broadcast journalism before jumping at the opportunity to join the Chad Slagle Show in 2015. She previously worked for KSDK in St. Louis, Missouri, as a news reporter and a feature show host. Today, she is passionate about telling the world about Slagle Financial, whether through Chad’s television appearances, social media posts or client-facing email campaigns.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Wendy holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.
Wendy and her husband, Todd, have been married for more than 30 years and are enjoying their current season of life, which is full of new beginnings and weddings for their three grown daughters. They live in St. Albans, Missouri, and enjoy getting outside for dog walks, bike rides and Wendy’s new hobby — golf!

Q: What’s one thing you can’t live without?
A: My morning coffee. It’s the magic potion that transforms “leave me alone” into “let’s conquer the world.”

Q: Do you have a favorite family tradition?
A: Every Christmas we pile into the car, drive around and enjoy holiday lights. My girls are adults, but we still do it. I look forward to grandkids joining in on this tradition.

Q: What’s a book or podcast you’d recommend to everyone?
A: My go-to podcast is “How I Built This” with Guy Raz. He Interviews the world’s best-known entrepreneurs to learn how they built their iconic brands — everyone from the Southwest Airlines founder to designer Tory Burch. It’s fascinating!
