Client Services Specialist Philip McGuire

Philip’s passion for financial literacy and helping others achieve their retirement dreams stems from his own journey to better understand money management. Philip isn’t the first in his family to pursue a career in finance; his cousin’s experience in the field partly inspired him to join Slagle Financial. Since then, he’s enjoyed helping clients on a daily basis and having a positive impact on their retirement journey.

Philip joined the firm as a finance intern before transitioning to his current role. Before that, he spent time as a project controller intern at an engineering lab. He has an associate’s degree in science from Lewis and Clark Community College as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in finance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

A lifelong resident of Jerseyville, Illinois, Philip comes from a large family, including his identical twin. He stays active by hitting the gym, spending the day on the golf course or playing with his dog, Sophie. He also enjoys unwinding by playing video games and watching movies.
