Description:  

Position Summary: Slagle Financial in Edwardsville, IL is seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist whose main focus is Appointment Setter and Lead Generation. The primary purpose of this position is to consistently fill the advisors’ schedules with qualified appointments. This is achieved by scheduling appointments based on qualified leads and seminar attendees. Another objective of this role is to respond in a timely fashion to each lead from various sources. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional time management skills, a proven record of getting prospects/clients engaged over the phone, accept direction, be customer service oriented and skilled with technology. Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to engage prospects after they have shown interest from one of the many company marketing funnels. This position will depend heavily upon a positive attitude, solid work ethic and the ability to build upon relationships over the phone to motivate prospects to set appointments. This role will overcome objectives in a professional, polite manner – never making the prospect feel uncomfortable at any time.

 

Summary of Tasks:

  • Set qualified appointments to fill revenue days 
  • Call, schedule, and follow-up with prospects for appointments from various sources
  • Record notes from every prospective client conversation in database
  • Follow script for all call scenarios
  • Input prospects and keep database/CRM program up to date
  • Use Opportunities and Lead Tracker to track lead “stage”
  • Guide clients in appropriate direction when they call in or make request: keep them happy  
  • Answer/Greet callers that are routed thru 
  • Key point of contact for Leads
  • Attend and service Seminar/Workshops as needed: set up, appt scheduling and mingle with prospects to help answer questions and promote the brand
  • Attend client events as needed 
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Prior sales or telemarketing experience 
  • Industry knowledge
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to build relationships with people
  • Highly organized with a great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
